Web design:

African Victory Cuisine
(work in progress)
African Victory website
Website I am currently working on for a local African food restaurant in Basingstoke. This is an ongoing project that will also include print design work on menus and flyers. I worked closely with the client to create the restaurant logo which informs much of the site design and aesthetic.

I have organised and run this convention for the past five years including all work on the website. Features Paypal e-commerce integration, custom built backend database tracking with automated email generation functionality.

www.sermountaingoat.co.uk Ser Mountain Goat's website
Ser Mountain Goat is my online nickname on westeros.org (the George RR Martin fan forum) and this website features the projects I have undertaken as a fan of Game of Thrones. This includes the creation of a speculative world map artwork (created in Fireworks) and a huge ongoing project (originally begun in Flash but will migrate to HTML5) to track the characters and events of A Song of Ice and Fire in a day by day animated timeline map.
www.enlightenmenthk.net EnlightenmentHK website
A memorial website created for a friend I knew on the westeros.org fan forum who tragically died at a young age. He was a strong character with many extremely memorable, intelligent and funny things to say and I created this website to collect all his great quotes and posts in one place as a resource for his many online friends.

TitanCon database TitanCon database
A custom built XML database that utilises a functionality in the Firefox web browser to use XSLT to query the XML database. This results in a very fast operating results window that I have customised to display information on attendees, produce sales reports, and output personalised email confirmations.
Animated Timeline Map Animated Timeline Map
A huge ongoing personal project (originally begun in Flash but will migrate to HTML5) to track the characters and events of A Song of Ice and Fire in a day by day animated timeline map. The version shown here is a Flash application written in ActionScript with an HTML control panel that communicates with two separate Flash animations via JavaScript.
Camp 2015 booklet Camp 2015 booklet
A booklet I produced for our Boys' Brigade 2015 Summer Camp. The theme for the week was "I'm a Camper get me out of here!". The design proved very popular with attendees and featured jungle page borders and cute cartoon jungle animals. The design is a 16 page full colour booklet to be printed on A4, folded and bound as an A5 booklet.
TitanCon flyers TitanCon flyers

Basingstoke Gazette Reading Warehouses advert for the Basingstoke Gazette
I worked as an advert typesetter at the Basingstoke Gazette for 12 years. This included a wide range of print designs from small classified and trade adverts, up to full page full colour estate agent adverts, and this full page advert for Reading Warehouses - an awful looking advert it has to be said, but was a lot of hard work to produce every week.
TitanCon programmes TitanCon 2013 programme cover
Including a 24 page programme for TitanCon 2012 and a 28 page programme for TitanCon 2013. Both are A5 sized full colour layouts throughout. The TitanCon 2013 programme book featured paid adverts, three of them designed and typeset myself following guidelines set out by the client.
Raffle posters WorldCon 2010 BWB charity raffle poster
I have hosted several charity raffles at conventions over the past 10 years including WorldCons in USA and Australia, with prizes such as books, t-shirts and games, some of which were donated by George RR Martin. To help advertise a raffle I would produce a poster with all the prizes and details. These posters range in size from A4 to A2.
Apple Blossom menu Apple Blossom
An A3 menu poster created in 2006 for Apple Blossom Catering, a local Basingstoke based business.
TitanCon Schedules TitanCon 2015 schedule
The schedule sheet is an essential hand out for every attendee at TitanCon. This is how everyone finds out what's on, where it's on and which guests are on each panel. I pride myself on creating clear and clean looking schedule sheets that are easy to read and easy on the eye.
